Review: Battlefront II

Battlefront II is a PVP arena game where all of the Star Wars prequels and sequels mash together to make one big, exciting concoction. One of the modes is Capital supremacy: you are neither Galactic Republic or The Separatists. The aim of capital supremacy is that you have to take all of the command posts to win after you have won you go up to the other team’s capital ship and destroy it. The other modes include Galactic assault, starfighter battles and much more. With Galactic assault you can be, The Empire and the Rebel Alliance or the First Order and the Resistance. In Galactic assault, you can destroy or defend. You can also do hero and villain battles from the ages, from Yoda and Count Dooku to Rey and Kylo Ren.

In the recent update with The Rise of Skywalker, there were new troops introduced; on the resistance side, there is the Ovissian gunner as well as the Caphex spy. The Ovissian gunner wealds a minigun and thermal detonators while the Caphex spy has a pistol and a baton for melee attacks. On the opposing side, the Sith trooper and the First order Jet trooper were included as well. The Sith trooper has a high rate of fire blaster and unleashes a ranged thermal detonator in his blaster. Like the Sith trooper, the First Order Jet trooper has a ranged blaster and a thermal detonator in his blaster he has the ability to fly, he can but only for a short while because it runs out of fuel and has to charge up again. With the new update a map was included, called D’qar it is a secret base for the Resistance. It also includes a new skin for the hero Finn he has a simple blaster that packs a punch. There should be new heroes to come like Zori Bliss and Y-W ing and a new skin for Palpatine.

I would give Battlefront II 4 out of 4 stars because, as a shooter game, it has good graphics and it is Star Wars after all, but I couldn’t quite give it 5 stars because it doesn’t update often enough as I would like!
